Ameren Corporation, in a Strategic Collaboration with U.S. Subsidiary ACSL, Inc., Released a White Paper of ACSL Products

  • Ameren Corporation, a strategic collaboration with U.S. subsidiary ACSL, Inc., released a white paper introducing ACSL small aerial photography drone “SOTEN” and NDAA-compliant smart controller “TENSO”.
  • Ameren, one of Fortune 500 companies, is providing electric services to approximately 2.4 million electric customers and 900,000 natural gas customers across 64,000 square miles in Illinois and Missouri.
  • ACSL has been improving SOTEN and developing TENSO to evolve efficient and secure operation in the field of infrastructure inspection.

ACSL, Inc., our U.S. subsidiary, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Missouri-based Ameren Corporation(Ameren), on January 26, 2024, for a strategic collaboration*1 and been facilitating the further adoption and use of drone technology in critical infrastructure industries in the U.S. market. ACSL hereby announces that Ameren released a white paper introducing ACSL’s small aerial photography drone “SOTEN” (SOTEN) and NDAA-compliant smart controller “TENSO” (TENSO).

■Outline of the White Paper
Ameren is an American electric and gas utility company based in Missouri whose operations provide electric and gas services to approximately 2.4 million electric customers and 0.9 million natural gas customers across 64,000 square miles in Illinois and Missouri. Ameren is listed on the Fortune 500, which ranks the nation’s top 500 companies based on total revenues and is the largest electric utility in Missouri.
The white paper released for Ameren’s customers introduces the efficiency gains with ACSL products compared to traditional manual methods and advantages of useability in operation fields. In the case study, Ameren’s inspection team actually used SOTEN and TENSO for a mapping mission of the complex and extensive environment of a natural gas storage facility, and specifically describes the efficiency gained over traditional methods.

The white paper is published on the ACSL, Inc. website at the link below.

■About SOTEN and TENSO
Policies on economic security and environmental considerations are accelerating in the global drone market. In the United States, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has prohibited government procurement of Russian and Chinese-made drones. Additionally, DJI, a Chinese drone manufacturer, has been designated as a “Chinese military-related company” by the U.S. Department of Defense since October 2022.
In this market environment, ACSL believes that it is possible to formulate a positioning based on the keywords “economic security”, “enterprise support”, and “application-specific”. In its entry into the U.S. market, SOTEN was highly evaluated by infrastructure companies at a local exhibition for its use in inspection and surveying, and ACSL have also received positive feedback and confirmed purchase requests at several customer road shows. Against this backdrop, ACSL established a U.S. subsidiary ACSL, Inc. in California in January 2023, and through close collaboration with these potential U.S. customers, ACSL has continued to improve SOTEN.

In this market environment, the movement to eliminate Chinese-made products is accelerating in the United States, and the importance of NDAA-compliant products is increasing. Developing and providing NDAA-compliant products has become a crucial factor in enhancing a company’s reliability and competitiveness. In response to these market needs and to gain high recognition in the U.S. market, ACSL, Inc. has announced the launch of its new NDAA-compliant smart controller, “TENSO”*2.

ACSL Group will continue to accelerate sales and market development in the U.S. market moving forward.
