■Background of the Launch of NDAA-Compliant Smart Controller
Policies on economic security and environmental considerations are accelerating in the global drone market. In the United States, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has prohibited government procurement of Russian and Chinese-made drones. Additionally, DJI, a Chinese drone manufacturer, has been designated as a “Chinese military-related company” by the U.S. Department of Defense since October 2022. In this market environment, the movement to eliminate Chinese-made products is accelerating in the United States, and the importance of NDAA-compliant products is increasing. Developing and providing NDAA-compliant products has become a crucial factor in enhancing a company’s reliability and competitiveness. In response to these market needs and to gain high recognition in the U.S. market, ACSL, Inc. has announced the launch of its new NDAA-compliant smart controller, “TENSO.”

ACSL, Inc. CEO Cynthia Huang’s Comments
“We know that having a dedicated smart controller makes a significant difference in the ease of use, efficiency, and performance when working in the field with small aerial photography drones. TENSO is a welcome addition to our lineup as we expand the SOTEN footprint in North America, bringing on more customers seeking a robust ecosystem that matches their needs.”

To meet the growing demand for secure, versatile, and high-performance small aerial photography drones, ACSL established its U.S. subsidiary, ACSL, Inc., in California in January 2023. In December, ACSL, Inc. delivered 50 units of the SOTEN drone to its strategic distributor, General Pacific, Inc. Additionally, in January 2024, ACSL announced the pricing and authorized dealers for SOTEN, officially launching sales in the U.S. market.

ACSL, Inc. has been continuously updating its products to optimize them based on feedback from large utility companies such as Ameren Corporation, which provides electric and gas services in Missouri, and the New York Power Authority (NYPA), as well as Firmatek, LLC., a Texas-based company providing drone services for mining and critical infrastructure inspections nationwide. This ongoing collaboration aims to build trust with customers in the U.S. market.

Global CTO and ACSL, Inc. Board Director Chris Raabe’s Comments
“ACSL is committed to continuous improvement and innovation. We have a humble and dedicated R&D team that earnestly considers every piece of feedback and enthusiastically strives to provide a better product.”

The ACSL Group will continue to accelerate sales and market development in the U.S. market moving forward.
