ACSL Ltd. (Edogawa Ward, Tokyo; Satoshi Washiya, CEO, hereafter ACSL) hosted a reception in Bern, Switzerland, in May 2023 for the Postal Operations Committee (POC) composed of 48 member countries as a member of the Consultative Committee of the Universal Postal Union (hereafter UPU).

 The Universal Postal Union, with 192 member countries, is a specialized agency of the United Nations whose purpose is to promote communication among peoples through the effective operation of postal services and to contribute to international cooperation in the cultural, social and economic fields.
ACSL is pleased to announce became the first drone-related company in the world to join the Universal Postal Union Consultative Committee in January 2023^※.

At the reception, Global CTO Chris Raabe, PhD introduced ACSL’s drone-based delivery demonstrations and other activities and discussed with POC members the possibility of exploring drone logistics support in countries with social needs, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, with the support of the UPU. The meeting discussed the following. Chris shared the plans to expand its cooperation with UPU members through new drone delivery partnerships with Tonga Post and Fiji Post.
